Browser Info

Our site has been built to work with all major browsers and operating systems. Our online banking services are also designed to work with Personal Financial Management software, such as Quicken® and Microsoft® Money. Learn the details.

Browsers

To bank online with us, you'll need a Web browser that supports industry standard 128-bit or higher SSL encryption. To use the complete features on our site and some affiliate sites, we recommend you have a browser that supports Java and JavaScript 1.2 or higher and can accept cookies.

These browsers have been tested and approved for use on wamu.com:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and 6.0
  • Netscape® Navigator 7.2, 7.1 and 6
  • AOL 9.0 and 8.0
  • Safari
  • Mozilla Firefox

Operating systems

These operating systems have been tested and approved for use on wamu.com:
  • Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, Millennium Edition (ME), 98 and NT 4
  • Macintosh OS X

Personal Financial Management software

You can use these Personal Financial Management programs to download transactions with our secure online banking services:
  • Quicken 2001 or Newer
  • Microsoft Money 2002 or Newer
  • QuickBooks 2003 or Newer (for Business Online Banking only)

Note: Our website supports .qif files for opening your files in Quicken, and .csv files for opening your files in Excel. If you have a WaMu line of credit or home loan, your files are available in .csv format.
