Home Loans (Servicing Your Loan)

What happens with my tax and insurance bills?

If you pay off your Washington Mutual loan and you still own the property, contact your tax collector and insurance agent to have the bills sent directly to you for payment. This would also apply if you refinanced but are responsible for paying your property taxes and/or insurance.

If you refinanced with Washington Mutual, and we are responsible for paying the property taxes or insurance, contact us if you receive the next due tax or insurance bills. This will ensure that we have current information on record and can pay before the due date. You should only need to supply future property tax bills if Washington Mutual requests it.

If you refinanced with another company, contact them in regard to the payment of property tax or insurance bills.
