How do I file an insurance claim?

Please notify your insurance agent and Washington Mutual immediately if there is damage to your property. Your hazard insurance company may issue a loss-draft (a check) to cover the damage. Checks are typically issued in the names of both the property owner and the lender, since the lender has an interest in ensuring that damaged property is repaired. This means that Washington Mutual needs to endorse (sign) the check before it can be cashed.
