Once you've signed up for mobile banking, you can keep on top of your finances, when you want and where you want, right from your mobile phone. You choose how you want to use it. You can use mobile text messaging or the mobile Web… or both!
What you get with each option:
- With mobile text messaging, you can review account balances and transaction history plus look for WaMu stores and ATMs—all without your computer!
- With mobile Web, you can do everything you can with mobile text messaging, plus transfer funds between your WaMu accounts—all from your mobile phone!
What you need to do each one:
- Mobile text messaging requires you to have a mobile phone that can send and receive text messages.
- Mobile Web requires you to have a mobile phone that also supports Internet browsing.
- You must be enrolled in WaMu online banking. This is how we recognize you.
- Finally, you'll need at least one eligible account. Eligible accounts include most checking and savings accounts.
How to sign up:
We make it easy for you to sign up for mobile banking. Simply choose the way that’s most convenient for you. You can sign up on your computer at wamu.com, or on your mobile phone while you’re out and about.
- To register on your computer, click the "Sign up Now" link above and follow the prompts.
- To register on your phone, your phone must support Internet browsing. Text GO to MYWAMU (699268). Click on the link in the response message then follow the instructions displayed in your mobile browser.
What it costs:
We won't charge you to use mobile banking, but standard carrier fees for text messaging and/or data services access may apply. Check with your mobile phone carrier if you aren't sure what fees apply.
Our security measures:
WaMu uses a number of security measures designed to safeguard your personal information and transactions. These include an advanced authentication and enrollment process that connects a specific phone to a specific set of accounts. Plus, if your phone is lost or stolen, we provide instant deactivation of mobile banking as soon as you notify us at (800) 788-7000 or wamu.com/mobile.
